Common Questions/Concerns
Why Are The Prices So High To Adopt A Dog? When adopting a dog from Let's Rescue Dogs you can ensure that your new best friend, wether young or old, comes spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, given current vaccines, and provided flea treatments. This is over $1200 worth of care that normally would need to be paid by the adopter when purchasing a dog from a breeder.
Why Not Adopt Directly From The Shelter Instead? ALL of Our rescue dogs come directly from the shelter. When a dog has the opportunity to come into a rescue before being adopted directly from the shelter, that rescue then has the opportunity to fully assess the dog for health issues that the shelter may have missed. Dogs at the shelter are given minimal treatment and often require many visits to the vet before they are truly healthy. When a dog comes into our rescue they're evaluated for temperance with other dogs, people and even cats. We get to know each and every dog individually so you know exactly the kind of dog you're getting.
What If I adopt A Dog And It Doesn't Work Out? We require in our adoption contract that if for any reason you decide the dog is not the right fit, you MUST surrender the dog back into the possession of Let's Rescue Dogs and will NOT under any circumstances rehome the dog or take the the dog to an animal shelter.
Do We Facilitate Out Of State Adoptions? Yes! We do accept applicants from out of state and will approve an adoption for the right applicant.
Does It Cost Anything To Foster? No! Let's Rescue Dogs covers the cost of food, veterinary bills, grooming and any other expenses that may incur. We provide every foster family with a crate, a pen, bed, toys, treats, and flea medication.
