- Teddy | Lets Rescue Dogs
Teddy Bear We saw Teddy Bear at the Downey Animal Shelter and our hearts melted. His little tail wags and big hazel eyes were all we needed to see to see! Teddy has come such a long way since being rescued in February 2024. Teddy was very scared and timid when he first arrived. The outside world terrified him, and he stuck to us like glue. It seemed he was terrified of being dumped again. He used to wince when we came in for pets and it broke our hearts thinking of what he may have been through. Teddy is looking for a calm and gentle home with or without another calm gentle dog. Teddy Bear doesn't know how to play but he does know how to cuddle! Teddy is very sensitive to being scolded. Due to his traumatic past, harsh scolding damages the relationship between him and his owner. He knows when he's done something wrong, and a simple no will suffice. This is the reason we are looking for a very patient home for Teddy. Going slow with this baby and gentle parenting is what makes Teddy thrive! Building trust with a dog who's had it's trust broken is such a beautiful feeling and creates a bond like none other! Adopt Me

- Knight | Lets Rescue Dogs
Knight Knight is a husky, german Shepard mix who was scheduled for euthanasia at the Riverside Animal Shelter. The two breeds he's mixed with are two of the most euthanized breeds in all animal shelters. We saw how scared Knight was and we wanted to change the course of his life. We couldn't be more thrilled to learn that despite how afraid Knight was he is truly such a gentle giant! He does incredible with dogs of all sizes and is even cat friendly! This beautiful boy has zero prey drive and would make a wonderful family dog. Knight shows signs of being an outdoor dog that got little to no affection before being rescued. It took 2 weeks for him to accept physical affection and he can be a bit timid around new people but he doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. Every day he seeks out more and more attention and is even learning how to walk on a leash for the first time in his life! If you're up to build an unbreakable bond with a gentle and loyal timid boy- you found your guy! Adopt Me

- Milo | Lets Rescue Dogs
Milo Milo is the absolute epitome of a good dog! Milo loves harder than any dog we know despite having the darkest past we can imagine. We witnessed Milo being surrendered to the shelter limping with a pee pad wrapped around his neck. We knelt down to the floor and ran into our arms. We promised him right then and there that we would come back for him the moment he became available for rescue. Three days later, he was put on the euthanasia list. We hurried as fast as we could to him to fulfill our promise to him. When we arrived, his wounds were far greater than we imagined. His neck was ripped apart exposing tendons and muscle. X-rays showed multiple fractures in various stages of healing and he had puncture wounds on his abdomen and face. We rushed him to the vet where they preformed multiple surgeries to address his open wounds. Milo has been through so much and is the most loving and loyal companion we know. He is cat friendly, child friendly and loves everyone he meets! Adopt Me
