Piper Piper is part of a litter of 8 we rescued from the Riverside Animal Shelter. She's part Schnauzer and part Bulldog! Some her siblings take after the Bulldog but she definitely takes more of the Schnauzer side! Piper survived Parvo against all odds. She's a miracle baby and she's looking for the perfect family to give her the most amazing life she almost didn't get to have. Boots Boots is part of a litter of 8 we rescued from the Riverside Animal Shelter! Boots is part Schnauzer and part Bulldog and what a cute combination it came out to be! Boots loves long walks, playing with other dogs, cuddling on the couch and relaxing with his foster parents. Nevin Nevin is the sweetest Pitty with the sweetest temperament and personality. He currently lives with a German Shepherd. Like many of our dogs, he was rescued on his euthanasia date and was so happy and wiggly walking out of the shelter for the last time. Despite being abandoned, Nevin loves all people. What is Fostering? Fostering a dog is one of the most crucial roles you can play for the success of any rescue. We couldn't do any of the work we do without our amazing volunteers who lovingly and selflessly bring a scared, broken and hurting soul into their home and show them that the world isn't so scary after all! As a foster, you'll never have to pay for food, supplies or veterinary bills- we take care of everything! Your role is simply to give them love, exercise and a roof over their heads while we work to find them a forever home. Although the commitment is temporary, it's still a commitment! Please do not apply to foster a dog unless every member of your household is on board. Please consider any vacations, trips, your work schedule, landlord approval and any allergies that members of your household may have to dogs. After you've thought this decision through for at least 48 hours and you still feel excited to go on this rewarding journey, we would love for you to fill out an adoption application! If you can’t foster but still want to support our program, consider donating an item off Our Amazon wishlist . The Fostering Process The fostering process starts with submitting a foster application. Once approved, a team member will reach out to you within 72 hours. Next we would schedule a phone call and to go over any questions or concerns you may have. ​ Next, we would conduct a virtual home check which is a video of where your foster dog will be eating, sleeping, playing, and your backyard, if applicable. Once your home check is approved we would schedule a time and day for you to pick up your foster dog and all of their supplies. Foster Application

Parker Parker was found abandoned at a dog park by one of our incredible fosters. We couldn't say no to welcoming him into the LRD Family. He's a 10 pound senior Pomeranian and Cocker Spaniel mix. Although he's a senior, he still loves to run and play and bop around with his poodle foster sibling! He loves to receive love and attention and he gives kisses in return! Taquito Taquito is the sweetest most charming little man you'll ever meet! Weighing at a whopping 8 pounds, he truly is pocket sized and perfect to take with you anywhere! Taquito is barely one years old, likes other dogs, cats and all people! He gives tons of kisses and loves to get attention! We saved Taquito from the Riverside Animal Shelter in June 2024.
