- About Us | Lets Rescue Dogs | Saving and Rehoming Dogs in Need
About Us Lets Rescue Dogs Here at Lets Rescue Dogs, we’re more than just a 501c3 nonprofit. We truly believe that every dog deserves the chance at a happy and healthy life with a family who loves them unconditionally. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for the dogs living in our shelter systems across Southern California, and many will never get the family they long for. Our dedicated team has witnessed firsthand what dogs at our shelter system go through on a daily basis. They’re terrified, confused and their lives are on the line. Euthanasia rates are at an all time high due to overcrowding with no end in sight. We knew we had to do something. Let’s Rescue Dogs was founded in October, 2023 with a mission to rescue as many dogs as we can from meeting the fate of being euthanized, terrified and alone. Although we are one of many rescues, we are determined to make a real impact. Many dogs at the shelter have been labeled as “unappealing” or even “unadoptable” and are left behind while their more aesthetic friends are rescued quickly. However, we have made tour mission to specifically rescue the dogs who are truly forgotten. Often we rescue the misfits, the tripods, the three legged dogs, behavioral dogs, the nursing mother, the elderly and the sick. We know they are counting on us to save them too. We show the world why they are deserving of love, and they all find happy, safe and loving forever homes. Let’s Rescue Dogs is more than a dog rescue, we are a family! Join us in saving the lives of somebodies future best friend.
- Basil | Lets Rescue Dogs
Basil Basil's story broke our hearts. After 12 faithful years, Basils family dumped him at a high kill shelter to die. To make matters worse, he was 100% blind. We saw Basil crammed into a small kennel with 6 other tiny dogs barking and running all around him. Even as he was getting run over by the rambunctious dogs in his kennel he only sat there, confused, sad, and dejected. Basil was scheduled for euthanasia later in the day and we knew we ad to save him! Basil is a cuddle bug and wants nothing more than to take sun naps in the back yard or lounge on the couch with his person. Although new dogs make him cranky at first, he needs an owner to understand that Basil knows he is defenseless and only wants to make it known to other dogs that he doesn't want them to hurt him! He's a wonderful blind little guy but that doesn't slow him down! He takes laps around the home to familiarize himself with his surroundings and he loves to take laps around the yard! Adopt Me
