Let’s Rescue Dogs is more than a rescue—it’s a movement. We are a community of over 100,000 supporters, proudly known as the LRD Family, united by one shared goal: getting every homeless dog out of the shelters and off the streets, and into
loving permanent homes. At Let’s Rescue Dogs, we look beyond the surface. We rescue the dogs most often overlooked—the sick, the abused, and the critically injured who have little chance without intervention. It’s our unwavering love for the most unwanted dogs that drives us forward every single day.Let’s Rescue Dogs is a boarding-free rescue. Every dog we save goes directly into a loving foster home—not a kennel—where they can heal, decompress, and learn what it feels like to be safe. We provide our fosters with all supplies and medical care. They provide the love. This model allows our dogs to recover not just physically, but emotionally, while they wait for their forever homes.
We also believe something fundamental: human welfare is animal welfare. You cannot protect dogs without caring for the people who love them. That belief has taken us beyond traditional rescue work and into the community—most notably near Skid Row in Los Angeles—where we’ve helped unhoused individuals access supplies and resources for both themselves and their dogs. Keeping people and their pets together matters. When we support humans, we protect animals too.
