Fostering For Lets Rescue Dogs

Fostering is one of the most vital roles in rescue—and the reason we are able to save lives. We could not do this work without compassionate volunteers who open their homes to dogs who are scared, broken, and hurting, and show them that the world can be safe again.

As a foster, you are never responsible for food, supplies, or veterinary care—we cover it all. Your role is to provide what no shelter ever can: love, patience, exercise, and a stable home where a dog can begin to heal while we work to find their forever family.

While fostering is temporary, it is still a commitment, and we take that responsibility seriously. Before applying, please ensure that every member of your household is fully on board. Take time to consider your work schedule, travel plans, landlord approval, and any allergies within your home. These details matter—for you and for the dog depending on you.

The Fostering Process

The fostering process starts with submitting a foster application. Once approved, your foster coordinator will reach out to you within 24-48 hours. Next, we would conduct a virtual home check and schedule a phone call and to go over any questions or concerns you may have. Once your home check is approved we would schedule a time and day for you to pick up your foster dog and all of their supplies.
