Here at Lets Rescue Dogs, we prioritize the rescue of the most at risk dogs in our shelter systems. Once they've been medically vetted and completely rehabilitated they become available for adoption. Although we adopt to all 50 states and Canada, it can still be very difficult to find a loving home for these amazing dogs who've been through so much. Sadly, some of our large breed dogs have been waiting a year or more for a loving family to call their own and haven't received even one application to adopt!
These incredible and resilient dogs stand a higher chance at adoption with you on their side! Anyone reading this blog can be the catalyst between a rescue dog and their future forever family right from their own living room and it only takes a few minutes!
We've found that social media is the best way to get our angels seen and adopted. Instagram and Facebook are great tools but the Nextdoor App can be even better! Below is a step by step process of how to network our adoptable dogs with your Nextdoor App.
If you don't already have the Nextdoor App, please download it to your smartphone or login using your computer.
First, view and select one of our adoptable dogs to promote by visiting our Petfinder Profile. Keep in mind, our large breeds need help the most!
Once you've selected the dog you would like to promote, click their profile
Screenshot the pups cutest photos and copy/paste their bio
Head over to your Nextdoor app and create a post that includes their photos and their bio and the link to view the dogs profile
If you live outside of Southern California please include that the pup can be adopted to all 50 states and Canada, as long as they're willing to pick up the dog themselves.
If anyone has questions regarding adopting the dog you posted, please refer them to our email, adoptions@LetsRescueDogs.net or our website www.letsrescuedogs.net.
And that's all it takes to make a difference in a rescued dogs life! You never know who may see your post and decide to become that dogs new family. If you want to help but have a busy schedule or don't live in the area, this is the best way you can support us and our mission to make the world a better place for animals.
