Pickles

Pickles is an eight-week-old terrier mix with a happy little personality, a love of playtime, and absolutely no idea how lucky he is to have made it out of the shelter.

Pickles, his siblings and their mom were all at Riverside Animal Shelter before coming into our rescue. Now, instead of growing up inside a kennel, Pickles is getting the chance to start his life in a home while he waits for the family who will make it permanent.

He is everything you would hope for in a puppy: playful, curious, affectionate, silly and sweet. Pickles loves to explore, wrestle and play, and then soak up affection once all of that puppy energy starts wearing off. He is still a baby, which means his personality will keep developing as he grows, but right now he is a loving little guy who is excited about pretty much everything.

His mom weighs about 12 pounds, and based on his current size, we expect Pickles to stay small as an adult, likely around 10 pounds or under. Of course, with mixed-breed puppies, adult size is always an estimate.

Because Pickles is only eight weeks old, his future family should be ready for everything that comes with raising a puppy: potty training, teething, socialization, boundaries, routine, plenty of playtime, and helping him grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. We want Pickles to find a family who is excited about all of it, not only the adorable puppy stage.

His adoption also includes important medical care as he grows. Let's Rescue Dogs will cover his first round of vaccines, and once he is old enough, we will also cover the cost of his neuter after adoption.

Pickles started his life in a shelter with his mom and siblings. We would love for the rest of it to look completely different: a family of his own, a safe home, someone who thinks his tiny puppy chaos is worth every second, and a lifetime where he never has to wonder where he belongs again.
