Butters

Butters is an eight-week-old terrier mix with a playful personality, a sweet, affectionate nature, and the kind of puppy energy that makes everything feel like a game.

Butters, his siblings and their mom were all at Riverside Animal Shelter before coming into our rescue. Now he is safe, growing, learning, and waiting for the family who will give him the kind of life every puppy deserves. He is a happy little guy who loves to play, explore, and be involved in whatever is going on around him.

Butters is still at the age where everything is new. New people, new sounds, new toys, new routines. He is taking it all in with the curiosity and enthusiasm you would expect from a baby puppy. When playtime is over, his affectionate side comes out. Butters enjoys attention and being close to people, and we expect him to become an incredibly loving little companion as he continues to grow.

His mom weighs about 12 pounds, and based on his current size, we expect Butters to stay small as an adult, likely around 10 pounds or under. As with any mixed-breed puppy, adult size is always an estimate.

Because Butters is only eight weeks old, his adopter should be prepared for everything that comes with raising a puppy: potty training, teething, socialization, structure, routine, patience, plenty of playtime, and helping him learn how to become a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. We want his family to be excited about raising him, not only about bringing home an adorable puppy.

Let's Rescue Dogs will cover Butters' first round of vaccines, and once he is old enough, we will also cover the cost of his neuter after adoption.

Butters started his life in a shelter with his mom and siblings. Now he gets to start over before he is even old enough to understand what almost happened. We want the rest of his story to be simple: a family who loves him, a home where he feels safe, and a lifetime of playing, growing, and knowing exactly where he belongs. Butters is ready for all of it. He is just waiting for his person to find him.
