About Luca
Where do we begin with this sweet girl? Luca was surrendered to the shelter by her family, who said she had always been an outdoor dog. She was extremely overweight and had never been fed a proper diet until recently. She started at 130 pounds and has already come down to 67. We're very proud of her.
Although Luca is a heavy girl, she absolutely loves to play, exercise, and splash in her mini pool. She has so much personality and love, and she truly looks like a big bear. Luca loves other dogs, big or small, and is gentle with everyone she meets. She has some fatty masses, including one on the top of her head, but they will start to fade as she loses weight.
Luca is looking for a home that will keep giving her the exercise she needs to continue losing weight and maintain her healthy diet.
Luca's adoption fee is $300, which covers their spay or neuter, microchip and core vaccines. Adoption starts with an application, a phone call and a short home video, followed by a meet-and-greet near the foster's home and a seven-day trial. Read about the whole process.
