About Scottie
Scottie is a sweet, energetic, child- and dog-friendly 71-pound shepherd mix. He was found abandoned in a field with his private parts mutilated from a botched at-home neuter. He was taken to the Riverside shelter, where he was eventually scheduled for euthanasia.
We saved him and reunited him with the woman who found him in the field, and he's currently in foster care on her ranch. Scottie would love a home that shows him the life he's deserved from the beginning. You can see his videos and updates on Instagram at @dogsranchlife.
Scottie's adoption fee is $350, which covers their spay or neuter, microchip and core vaccines. Adoption starts with an application, a phone call and a short home video, followed by a meet-and-greet near the foster's home and a seven-day trial. Read about the whole process.
